On behalf of our client, a leading clothing brand, we are looking for the following position:

GENERAL LEDGER & CONTROLLING

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports, managing the consolidation process of financial statements for the group legal entities
  • Manage GL activities on a daily and monthly basis
  • Analyze financial performance and provide actionable insights
  • Cooperate on the annual budgeting process and rolling forecasts.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (supply chain, sales, marketing, operations) to track performance against budget.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor internal financial controls and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with tax, legal, and regulatory requirements in applicable jurisdictions.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and banks as needed, as well as oversee general administrative tasks
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and transparency as a team member

The ideal candidate will have the following skills, knowledges and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5–8 years of progressive experience in financial management, preferably in apparel, consumer goods, or DTC brands.
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory control, and financial planning in a product-based business.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or similar) and financial modeling tools (Excel, Power BI).
  • Good knowledge of English and Italian
  • Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
