On behalf of a leading national Swiss company in the construction sector, we are seeking a specialized professional for the role of:

Mechanical Workshop & DepotĀ  Manager

Responsible for the overall management of the Mechanical Workshop & Depot, ensuring operational support to construction sites through the availability, maintenance, and optimization of company-owned assets (especially Mobile Equipment), with a strong focus on performance, cost-efficiency, legal compliance, and safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Full management of the Mechanical Workshop & Depot from both operational and financial perspectives

  • Planning and controlling budgets, investments, personnel, and equipment to support project needs

  • Preparing quotations for asset rental in tenders and ongoing projects

  • Coordinating delivery, assembly, testing, maintenance, and demobilization of mobile equipment and plants

  • Ensuring proper maintenance planning (preventive and corrective), spare parts stock management, and traceability

  • Supervising internal teams and external service providers

  • Ensuring compliance with local regulations and safety standards (e.g., CE marking)

  • Optimizing asset performance and lifecycle cost efficiency

  • Reporting to Project and HQ Management with accurate data and analysis

Requirements:

  • Technical degree (preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Civil Engineering)

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in construction sites as Workshop Manager or Supervisor, with solid knowledge of mobile construction equipment

  • Strong expertise in maintenance of equipment and systems (mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic), including spare parts and inventory management

  • Proven experience in team management, activity planning, and coordination of external service providers

  • Good knowledge of local regulations related to equipment and safety standards (e.g., CE marking)

  • Fluent in English and at least one additional language (preferably Italian, German, or French)

  • Proficient in software tools such as Microsoft Office (advanced), SAP (intermediate), and AutoCAD (basic)

  • Strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and results orientation, with the ability to work effectively under pressure and in complex environments
